As you enter, the warm and welcoming atmosphere sets the stage for an enjoyable meal. The restaurant's menu features a range of authentic Turkish dishes, but the shining stars are undoubtedly their doners and baklava. Patrons rave about the doners, highlighting their freshness and flavor. Customers like Michael Moats have shared their enthusiasm, noting that even when bustling with activity, the staff never fail to deliver exceptional service. The baklava, a sweet pastry beloved by many, receives unanimous acclaim for its rich taste and delightful texture, making it a must-try dessert.
One standout review from Deepthi Anikar pointed out the reasonable prices and enjoyable vegetarian options, such as their vegetarian pizza, which paired perfectly with Turkish chai— a delicate brew with a hint of lemon. This blend of traditional flavors and modern interpretations contributes to the overall satisfaction that diners experience at Efendi's Kebab.
Despite occasional mixed reviews regarding service speed, the overall sentiment remains positive. “ This place is a Turkish restaurant , we are here on Sunday, very few places opened to have dinner. We ordered vegetarian pizza.. it was quite good ambience. The costs are better than Dusseldorf. 2 colas(2+2euros) and this pizza costed (6.9), so the total was 11 euros. They finally served Turkish chai (which is similar to black tea with lemon flavour, cant call it lemon tea). ”
“ Good food. Buttermilk fountain. Helpful staff. Reasonable menu and prices. 6 people dinner for 93euro. ”
“ Update...again. Don't know why they get some low ratings. They're open late and the guy is super nice and the food is amazing. Baklava I'd ridiculously good as always. The guys working late night on the weekends are always awesome even when it's busy. And if I wanted to go home and get it delivered....they do that too. Update: They are always open late so I have ordered a few more times and will keep ordering. The food has been great and the doners have become some of my favorites in town, even if it isn't late night. Not sure if they changed anything but it's been very fresh and tasty every time for a while now. Original post: Food is usually really good and then some days it's just that great at all. Service is just OK. They're not rude or anything but definitely not the nicest. Overall I still eat here sometimes for a doner. Not a huge fan of the rest of their food. Except the baklava.....it is amazing compared to most places. So maybe go at least for the baklava. ”
“ I usually come here and they are always friendly. Last time I wanted to pay and they asked me to sit and have tea then leave the restaurant however it was midnight. ”
